About Finca Santa Clara

My name is Rosario Lemus, I am an enterprising woman full of courage and passion with well-planned objectives to make known what Finca Santa Clara produces. Through this impetus, I have already managed to infect my son with the enthusiasm that my parents and grandparents transmitted to me at the time, which has led me to be the person who is passionate about coffee that I am today, as well as being; producer, Agricultural Engineer and Qprocessing.

Finca Santa Clara began in the 60's, being this a tradition and family objective. It is located in Mataquescuintla, Jalapa, Guatemala, at 1750 meters above sea level, it is favored by silty loam soil, microclimates and diversity of vegetation; where, over the years, the values of honesty and respect have been mainly promoted, which have become an invaluable heritage.

I am currently part of the third generation of producers, where the basis of support has been the production of coffee with harvests that go from December to April. Throughout these decades united as a family, we have managed to overcome any obstacle, which has allowed us to expand our production areas and I am currently looking for new approaches to commercialize our appreciated coffee; The difficulties have been many and none have been easy to overcome, however, we do not give up and we continue to fight to improve quality through agronomic management, processes and staff training, etc. Having already obtained one of our greatest achievements, this being a score of 88 in a micro lot.
