Monday

Our first full day of events includes a team breakfast to catch up on all things GFE and to reconnect since our last meeting at the SCA Expo in Seattle. We will follow these meetings with our first session of our Learning Modules — brief workshops designed specifically for the farmers by Peter Roberts. Next, we will visit GFE supporter and friend Radio Roasters for a cupping and tour of their shop.

Tuesday

The team will start the day by partaking in the Tuesday Coffee event in the Goizueta Business School. This event will be open to the public for anyone that would like to meet the whole team!

Later in the day, we will visit the Thrive Farmers facility up in Roswell, GA. Ivania, Ramona, and Alexa will have a chance to cup coffees from different origins and discuss their unique qualities with a trained professional on the Thrive Farmers team.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, Peter and the team gets down to business to discuss practical steps for Ivania, Ramona, and Alexa to develop themselves as coffee entrepreneurs and get them connected with experts from all steps in the supply chain for “Convos with Pros”.

Afterwards, the team will meet with coffee professionals from around Atlanta to host a cupping of their own coffees and educate the crowd about the intricacies of being a coffee farmer.

Thursday

Learning continues on Thursday for Part III of our modules and conversations with industry professionals and program supporters.

In the evening, GFE will host our first ever “Farmers Dinner” at Love is Love @ Gaia Gardens. This is a fundraiser activity to celebrate the launch of a new year of programming and our farmers visiting Atlanta.
